Are you crazy about Looping?  Or are you wondering what looping is, anyway?

Looping utilizes the telecoil within most hearing aids and cochlear implants.   The loop itself is a coil of wire connected to an amplifier and microphones.  When the telecoil is turned on, looping allows the individual to hear clearly without the distraction of noise or the effects of distance.  All HLAA Madison meetings are looped.

In addition, there are many theaters and churches in Wisconsin that are looped and the numbers are growing. Juliette Sterkens, an Audiologist in Wisconsin, is a national advocate and resource for looping .  For all matters related to Looping, please see the website, Loop Wisconsin.  In addition, many members of HLAA can answer questions about looping.  If you have a telecoil in your hearing aid or cochlear implant, they can explain how to connect to the loop system at meetings.
